The coastal areas of Montenegro boast a Mediterranean climate with long dry summers and short mild winters so with plenty to do there’s no excuse to only be here during the Summer. The flat is air conditioned so it is refreshing in the summer and warm in winter.
Sunshine averages some four hours a day in winter and from ten to twelve hours a day in summer. Sea temperatures range from 10-12C in winter to 25-28C in summer.

Most towns have a great ambiance all year round, with local festivals and events organized throughout the year.
In the summer season (June – September) Perast comes alive with open air cafes and restaurants. July and August are the busiest months for the main coastal resorts. Temperatures are high and often in the 30s during July and August, so it’s great for sunbathing and swimming.

October to March is a quieter period with fewer visitors and a more tranquil atmosphere. Temperatures are cooler for walking and other other sports activities. In Perast there are some cafes and restaurants open all year round. Kotor has a large variety of year-round cafes and bars.

Even in December the days are bright and crisp. During the winter bad weather tends to accumulate mostly over the coastal mountain ranges, which frequently leads to warm and sunny winter days by the coast. The contrast of the mild winter weather with a backdrop of snow-capped mountains is delightful. The ski season runs from December until March, with January and February providing the best sport.
